The whole idea of Dark Water, says Kristian Bush about the improvisational rock band he shares with
brother Brandon Bush and guitarist Benji Shanks, is that “it’s a novel that you can read over and over
                and over
again.”Born just ahead of the pandemic in Kristian’s Atlanta, Georgia, recording studio, the band is a
power trio of artists from other successful bands. Kristian founded Sugarland and Billy Pilgrim. Brandon
played with Train and is active on the musical side of musical theater. Benji is part of Southern rock
                band
                Blackberry Smoke.

Together, they comprise the musical gumbo that is a Dark Water – and they’re on a mission to rule
                rhythm.

Brandon describes Dark Water v. 2025 as “very derivative of the Talking Heads.” Their guiding question
                is, “Is it rhythmically satisfying?”

For their sophomore album, One Step Ahead of the
Robot, which arrives Fall of 2025, the answer is unequivocally yes.
